I love that we have an app for everything nowadays and that we have the internet to look up everything we want to know. I mean seriously, I don’t know about you, but I’d be lost without my apps and my Google… oh yeah, and Pinterest. Since I rely on apps so much to keep me organized in pretty much my whole life, I thought I’d share with you all my top 3 favorite apps that I use to help guide me in health and wellness!
1. Think Dirty
– A Toronto based free app that you can use to scan or look up products in your home to see if there are any harmful ingredients in it. If what you scan isn’t in their system then you can take a picture of the front and back of the product and they will try to add it to their database!
I went scan crazy in my home and at the store for a while after I got this app. Surprisingly even some of the organic and natural products I was scanning came back dirty!! Yup, read your labels babe! Turns out there are no legal definitions for “organic” or “natural”. How “dirty” of them…
2. Map My walk (run, bike ride, stairs…)
– Almost everyone has this app or has heard of it and for good reason. This app is also free and after your walk or whichever other activity you choose, it will show you on a map your route listing out a rough estimate of how far you went, calories burned and average pace.
– Another free one. What? I like free, who doesn’t?! Anyway, this one tracks how much you are on your phone and where your time is being spent. This is perfect if you’re trying to become more aware of time management, trying to unplug more and working on being more present in your… you know… actual life 😉. We all can get lost on our phones and sometimes this app can show the ugly truth of how much our faces are lit up by a screen light.
You’re awesome! 🤗
